Job Title: Remote Sr Backend Engineer $160-$190k (Ruby or GoLang, AWS)

We are an online platform for prescription medications and insurance.

Out platform allows folks without insurance access to medications, and provides a range of affordable, generic alternatives.

Our founding team consists of pharmacists who have made it their mission to provide medication to sick patients despite copays costs or lack of insurance.

We have been in business for 6 years and have around 50 employees.

Due to growth, we are hiring a Remote Sr Back End Engineer with the following experience:

Ruby or Golang
(our products are 75% Ruby, 25% Golang)
AWS

You will lead backend development efforts, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the quality and scalability of our applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust APIs and backend systems that meet the needs of our users and comply with industry standards.

What You Will Be Doing

Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems using Golang and Ruby on Rails.
Mentor and guide junior engineers to enhance their skills and improve team performance.
Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement APIs.
Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous integration practices.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continually improve our development processes.

What You Need for this Position

Must Have

Ruby or Golang
(our products are 75% Ruby, 25% Golang)
AWS

Nice to Have

Strong understanding of database design and management.
Experience in mentoring and leading engineering teams.
Familiarity with software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is a plus.
