Sr. Manager of Engineering
Location: Englewood, CO
Salary: $125k-$150k base with a 15% yearly bonus eligibility
Position Overview
The Sr. Manager of Engineering will lead and oversee the engineering department, ensuring the successful execution of manufacturing processes while prioritizing safety and continuous improvement. This role is critical in driving efficiency, managing union relations, and ensuring compliance with workers' compensation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies that enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the engineering department.
- Collaborate with union representatives to address worker concerns and maintain positive labor relations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production methods and reduce waste.
- Manage engineering projects, including the use of AutoCAD for design and layout purposes.
- Analyze and resolve manufacturing challenges to ensure consistent production quality.
- Oversee training and development programs for engineering staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an engineering management role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and workers' compensation practices.
- Proven experience in managing unionized workforce and labor relations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
