Project Controls Manager
Position Overview
The Project Controls Manager is responsible for the development, maintenance, and execution of project schedules, earned value management, and project health tracking. This role ensures that construction projects adhere to planned schedules, budgets, and overall project goals. The Project Controls Manager will work closely with project managers, site teams, and other key stakeholders to optimize scheduling, enhance visibility, and maintain control over project performance.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Project Controls
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), Microsoft Project, and Procore.
Ensure accurate integration of schedules with Procore for real-time tracking and reporting.
Support project teams with earned value management (EVM) to track cost, schedule, and progress performance.
Coordinate with project managers to align schedules with project execution strategies.
Maintain a master schedule for all active projects to track company-wide project timelines.
Support project teams with real-time dashboards and reports on project health, earned value, and variance analysis.
Facilitate regular schedule reviews, look-ahead planning, and coordination meetings with project teams.
Implement Lean Construction scheduling principles to reduce waste and optimize workflows.
Provide weekly and monthly reports on scheduling performance, earned value tracking, and risk assessments.
Key Performance Metrics
Schedule Adherence: % of projects meeting baseline schedules.
Variance Analysis: Tracking schedule deviations and corrective actions.
Earned Value Performance: Cost and schedule performance index (CPI & SPI).
Project Completion Predictability: Forecast accuracy of project timelines.
Manpower Utilization: Optimization of workforce planning.
