Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power generation and piping design with the ability to lead and manage projects from conception to completion.
This role requires expertise in AutoCAD and CAD software, as well as a Professional Engineer (PE) designation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design piping systems for power generation projects
- Create and maintain detailed plant layout drawings
- Review and analyze project specifications and requirements
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design compliance
- Lead and mentor a team of piping designers
- Conduct field visits to gather information and verify design accuracy
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates
- Adhere to industry standards and regulations- Ensure timely completion of projects within budget constraints
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in piping design, preferably in the power generation industry
- Proficient in AutoCAD and CAD software
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred
- Knowledge of plant layout and piping design principles
- Strong understanding of power generation systems and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to travel for project site visits
- Team leadership and mentoring experience is a plus.
