The Superintendent who joins our exciting travel team will be responsible for managing the schedule and ensuring the projects are performed at the highest quality while keeping safety as a top priority at all times. This individual; will also need to follow and review the scope very closely to ensure the project is moving forward quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Safety:
- Control corporate and OSHA safety policies within the field
- Coordination of Shut Downs/Tie-ins
Quality Control:
- Observe and interface with contractors or trades to monitor work performance and productivity of trades
- Ensure project rules and procedures are maintained
Planning:
- Monitor and support trade harmony, including jurisdiction compliance with local practice
- Organize Mechanical/Electrical overhead coordination
- Supervise, coordinate and sequence contractors work
- Develop site logistics plans for entire project
- Initiate setup of a project schedule and creation of activities and logic
- Submissions of drawings to city and state agencies and inspection process leading to Certificate of Occupancy
Document Control:
- Ability to file documentation using our in-house filing system
- Perform surveillance of contractor documents to ensure they are building from the latest document set
- Review of submittals and shop drawings.
Cost Management:
- Assist with management of budget by monitoring potential changes from contractors
- Assist with management of general conditions budget and reviewing quotes for changes
- 5+ years of commercial/retail construction experience
- 2+ years of traveling experience
- OSHA 30 hour is a plus
- CPR or First Aid Training is a plus
Salary Range: 100k - 140k
