We are seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2 years in general civil litigation to join our dynamic team in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience handling diverse litigation matters, including business disputes, municipal law, employment law, and personal injury defense. This role provides the opportunity to manage cases from inception to resolution while working alongside experienced attorneys in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Handle a broad range of civil litigation cases, including business disputes, municipal law, employment law, and insurance defense.
Manage cases from initial investigation through trial or settlement, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and depositions.
Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
Provide strategic legal counsel and risk assessments to clients.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in New York.
2 years of experience in general civil litigation.
Strong litigation skills, including courtroom advocacy, legal research, and writing.
Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills for working with clients and opposing counsel.
