Position Overview
The Facilities/Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the company's facilities. This role ensures that all systems are functioning properly and efficiently, and that the workplace is safe and conducive to productivity. The manager will lead a team of maintenance staff, manage budgets, and liaise with vendors to maintain and improve facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all maintenance activities within the facility to ensure safety and functionality.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and supplies.
Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Supervise and train maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
Coordinate facility projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
Monitor energy consumption and implement energy management strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Facilities or Maintenance Manager.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing.
Excellent budgeting and financial management skills.
Demonstrated ability to ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards.
Strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
