Position Overview:
The Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects in the industrial and commercial sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of quantitative takeoffs, labor productivities, vendor relationships, and subcontractor pricing in order to provide accurate bids and proposals.
The Estimator will also need to stay informed on market conditions and conduct bid reviews to ensure competitiveness in the market.
Strong customer relations and contract administration skills are essential in this role as the Estimator will be interacting with clients and managing contracts throughout the project. The Estimator will also be responsible for managing change orders and ensuring accurate cost estimates throughout the construction process.
