We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team and help us provide the best services to our clients. You will be an integral part of our team, helping to ensure successful project delivery from estimation to completion. As a Construction Estimator, your responsibilities will include analyzing design documents, performing site walk-throughs, generating takeoffs, and preparing scope of works. You will also be tasked with creating bid packages, procurement, and accounting tasks.
- 5+ years construction estimating experience
- Experience working on Public Works required
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or similar strongly preferred
- Ability to perform quantity take-offs, determine production rates, review subcontractor proposals, and establish project timelines
- Excellent time-management and scheduling skills
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to estimate the entire project from initial planning to completion including researching the materials, sourcing options, labor, and permit costs for a given project
- Candidate should be located on Long Island with the ability to travel to project sites as needed
- $90,000 - $120,000 salary depending on experience
