Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
Job location: Columbus, OH
Salary: $85K to $120K DOE

Based in Columbus, OH, we are a well-established engineering firm with over 45 years of proven success in the areas of geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, materials engineering, and more! Due to growth and demand, we are in need of a talented Geotechnical Engineer or a Civil Engineer with a geotechnics background join our diverse team!

Position Overview:

Participate in all geotechnical aspects associated with the design of shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, and slope stabilizing measures. You will also have the opportunity to work on projects from concept through construction, upcoming design-build bids, and projects relating to highways, water, environmental, and facilities.

What you will be doing:

Provide engineering and consulting for a broad range of clients and projects.
Review drawings and construction to ensure compliance on plans and specifications are being adhered to.
Prepare proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and evaluate projects processes.
Review field data and include in reporting.
Report any safety concerns or issues to management as needed.
Conduct field investigations, testing, and evaluation of data.
Make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications which are to be reviewed by PE.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or relatable field of study
1 to 3+ years of experience
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI)
ODOT project experience nice to have
Familiarity with geotechnical analysis programming tools such as: ArcGIS, HEC, SLIDE, SETTLE3D, LPILE, APILE, FB Multiplier, etc.
